The Fort York Food Bank started 25 years ago with a mission that goes beyond just providing food—it’s about connecting people to vital supports like housing and employment. Today, as the largest food bank in downtown Toronto, they serve over 2,500 people every week, with those numbers continuing to rise.

In 2022, they set a fundraising goal of $30,000 for Coldest Night of the Year and ended up raising an amazing $68,000. A year later, they set their sights even higher at $100,000, and made it! With nearly 300 volunteers and walkers braving the cold, this event has truly exceeded expectations.
