Strolling along the shores of Lake Huron, people may wonder: Where’s all the beach glass? Bernie has it; it’s in her necklaces—beautiful, handcrafted pieces with a purpose.
Bernie’s Beach Glass isn’t just jewellery; it’s a story. A story of resilience, giving, and the power of community through Coldest Night of the Year. Each piece of beach glass carries a message beyond its beauty: Homelessness has affected my family, and the proceeds from the sale of these necklaces are donated to the Coldest Night of the Year.
For Bernie, this isn’t just about making necklaces—it’s about making a difference. She understands firsthand the struggles of homelessness. Her own son has lived on the streets, and while she may not be able to help him directly, she can help others who are facing similar hardships.

Bernie’s message is clear: It’s time to change how we look at people on the street. By participating in, donating to, or volunteering for the Coldest Night of the Year walk, you’re not just giving time or money—you’re giving hope.
